New gyms are intimidating — even great ones. This page removes the guesswork: what happens when you arrive, where to park, what to bring, and who you’ll meet.
Pick your path
Nobody has to choose between “join” and “leave”. Start wherever feels right.

What happens when you arrive
There’s parking at Valentines Farm — look for the barn with SWOLE GYM in white letters. You can’t miss it.
Tell whoever’s on the desk it’s your first time — usually Josh or Tilly. They’re why so many of our reviews mention the staff by name.
We’re strictly 21+, so everyone shows photo ID on their first visit. Takes about 30 seconds.
The floor, the infrared sauna, the cold plunge, the recovery lounge, the shake and supplement bar — and the private GP room.
Train that day on a pass, sit down about membership, or go home and think about it. Capped membership means we’re never desperate to sign you.
Members only · 21+
Swole is an adults-only members’ club. Capped membership and a 21+ door policy are how the floor stays calm, focused and workable — it’s the reason our reviews read the way they do. Everyone shows photo ID on their first visit, whether you’re 21 or 51. It’s the rule, not a judgement — and it’s the same for day passes and guests.
Accepted ID: passport · UK driving licence · PASS-hologram card
The next person shouldn’t warm up by stripping your bar.
Spray stations are around the floor.
No tripods or filming set-ups before 10am or after 4pm — early and late sessions stay private.
Most people here will say yes.
Shower first, and keep sessions considerate when it’s busy.
When to come
Weekdays from 5am to10pm; weekend hours are being finalised, so call ahead to confirm. Busiest around 5pm on weekdays, quietest mid-morning and early afternoon — which is when most first-timers come. And because membership is capped, even our busy is calm by chain-gym standards.
Morning classes run around 10am — strength & conditioning, and Booty, Legs & Core with Lorena. See the timetable →
